A Little Trivia in Gardening
There lots of gardening articles and yard design ideas circulating in the internet, books and magazines. But there are also a few who knows some of the fun facts that gardening has to offer.
Did you know that a fruit is the edible part of the plant that contains the seed, while a vegetable is the edible stems, leaves and roots of the plants? Another is that Tulips have been known to last longer if the stems were wrapped up with old newspaper immediately after cutting then place them upright submerged in to water for several hours. Did you know that 80% of the worlds rose species came from asia? Another one is my favourite, the world’s largest flower, the Rafflesia can measure up to three feet across and the world’s largest Rafflesia has been spotted in the Philippine jungles. These are only just some of the few gardening trivia’s circulating around the internet. This why gardening is not only a physical activity but could also be a fun way to exercise your brain.
